I just made a discovery for myself - Tartine morning buns are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I cannot believe I have not baked them till this day, though I have seen the images and the Tartine Morning Bun recipe floating around the Internet for quite some time. I just did not think of them too much, I guess, as I am somewhat partial to cinnamon buns. This recipe was not included into Chad Robertson’s famous Tartine Bread book, or any other Tartine books for that matter, but it was made available online by the … [Read more...] about Tartine Morning Bun Recipe
Baked pork tenderloin is one of my favorite pork dishes. Pork tenderloin is very lean and healthier than most other meat cuts out there. If cooked properly, it can be very flavorful, moist and tender. Baking in the oven is probably the easiest and most fool-proof way to cook tenderloin. It does not take long to cook and can be fully done in about half and hour - just throw it in the pre-heated oven and, 25 minutes later, a delicious dinner is ready. Tenderloin by itself is not a very flavorful … [Read more...] about Easy Baked Pork Tenderloin
No kidding! This is the best meatloaf recipe in the world. Period. It really can't get any better than this. Try it for yourself and tell me if it isn't the best. There is something about kumato tomatoes that makes me want to buy them all the time despite the higher price tag. Darker in appearance and bursting with flavor, they are absolutely delicious. I can't have enough of them. Hence, I often have them available in the kitchen. When the time came for me to make a pizza to satisfy my cravings, I realized I was out of San Marzano canned tomatoes which I normally use for homemade pizza sauce. Not feeling like going anywhere on a rainy night I … [Read more...] about The Best Pizza Sauce Recipe
These shortbread cookies with jam have been one of my favorite for a very long time. I really don't know what not to like about them. They taste super, melt in your mouth, have a drop of chewy jam in the middle, and can be made in 25 minutes. Even 20 if you try hard enough. Serious. That is, of course, if your oven can get pre-heated in 1o minutes. I imagine gas ovens can do that very quickly, but I can only speculate. Anyway, the process is super simple. First, soften your butter in a … [Read more...] about Shortbread Cookies with Jam
This paleo smoked salmon salad cake is one of my favorite dishes - it's healthy, it's easy to make, it's delicious and it's visually appealing, full of bright vibrant colors. I got the inspiration from a traditional to Russia and other Slavic countries dish, which is made inside a deep dish and which uses pickled herring in place of salmon. I think that the brightly colored salmon makes this dish so much more colorful and elegant, and so does the cake shape. I also wanted to make this dish … [Read more...] about Smoked Salmon Salad Cake
